Time In Janesville

All the cousins

Jacob showing off his Shark's Tooth necklace from Grandpa

Over our 2 week break, we only spent a couple days in Janesville. The rest of the time was spent at the Lakehouse in Crandon, Wi. Here are a few pictures from our time in Janesville. We spent one day at Mt. Olympus water park in the Dells. We also spent an entire day at the aquatic center. I wish I had pictures, but it impossible to take pictures while watching three kiddos that do not know how to swim yet. Jake and I went with our three, Trace, Grandma Vuky, and Aunt Lora. We had a great time and Grandma Vuky was a trooper and took Jacob down the slide over and over and over again. Lora held Caden the entire time and snuggled him up while he took his afternoon nap in the water in her arms. Maddie and trace played the whole time and even had a good game of volleyball going for a little while. We had a wonderful time hanging out with family and watching our children play.

Eating Crickets

My dad brought back some "sour cream and onion" flavored crickets from their trip to Hawaii for Madison. She was so excited to eat them...and to share them. I think my family was hoping she would just eat them, but then she wanted to share. They couldn't turn down that sweet smile (only Lora, Tony, and Dana were able to deny my sweet little girl). Maddie shared with everyone and then kept the rest for herself. Yes, they were real. Yes, I almost vomitted. (I did not try them due to pregnancy...I am not sure if eating bugs is reccomended by most OB/GYN doctors)

Walking Is So Cool!!!

White Girls Can Jump!

Madison taught Jacob how to jump from the highest possible spot today. He was very nervous, but after much pressure from big sis he finally gave in. Maddie was actually able to touch the ceiling...crazy!!!

Potential Bad Dad Moment

We went to a gymnastics gym here in town for a birthday party last weekend. Jake took Caden on the rope swing. Could have been a very horrible situation, but Caden loved it. He wanted to go over and over again. Jake was very tired by the end of the hour of open play. Maddie and Jacob had a blast as well.

Caden's Big Boy Haircut

Before

After

So, we finally had to cut Caden's hair this weekend. It was getting a little crazy and hanging in his eyes. He looks like such a big boy now. And looks even more like his uncle Dan at that age. I remember when Dan looked just like that with his little boy haircut.

Caden's First Birthday

Opening his present for the water
Loving his new toy

He loved to go under the huge sprinklers that were in the pool.

Jacob giving him a ride. Caden giggled every time Jacob would push him around.

Stuck on shore

The boys playing together

Everyone having fun together

Caden's first juice...he threw a fit until a gave him another one.

Singing "Happy Birthday"

Jacob helping Caden blow his candle out.

Eating cake together. Maddie was already back in the water and uninterested in cake.

Who needs a fork?

For me??

Thank you for the puzzles Grandma Vuky and Mrs. Dee

Thank you for the blocks and clothes Grandma Dudley

For Caden's birthday party we just went to a neighborhood pool with some friends of ours and celebrated. The kiddos swam, had lunch and cake at the pool, and then when we could finally tear them away from the water (4 hours later) we went home to open some gifts. He had a blast and loved playing in the water. It was a nice time and I think he felt really special.
