Madison's 5th Birthday Party

We had Maddie's 5th birthday party on Saturday. She invited some of her friends over to our house to have a bug party. She had a blast and felt really special all day. Her friends made her party so much fun and they got her some very nice gifts. Her day was also made special by her Grandma, Papa, and Aunt Rea visiting from Alabama. They made the trip just to spend her special day with her. Here are some pictures from the party.

Maddie dressed as a butterfly for her bug party
Waiting for her guests to arrive. We made ladybug strawberries and ants on a log for pre-lunch snacks.

Madison and her friend Erica, decorating bug boxes

The kids all decorated bug boxes while we waited for everyone to get there.

Jacob, Caden, and Alli decorating their boxes. Jacob and Caden were dressed as ladybugs (you cannot see, but they have black spots taped all over thier backs).

Maddie, Erica, and Hayden decorating. Hayden came dressed as a rolly polly...too cute!

Once everyone got there we did a bug hunt in the back yard.

Then they painted stained glass butterflies.

After lunch we enjoyed Madison's birthday bug cake. I made a "dirt cake" to fit the theme of her party. Some of the kids wouldn't even try it because they thought it was real dirt.

Makeup!!!! Sure wish mommy could show her how to use it!!

Maddie was so excited about all her gifts. She loved this necklace kit.

Very excited about a new tutu and butterfly wings

Her favorite gift was a necklace that had her name on it. She hasn't taken it off yet!

After gifts, the kids all built their own goodie bags so they got to pick the stuff and types of bugs they liked. Here are Maddie and Annalyn going through the line.

I had all the kids sign this for Madison as a keepsake to remember all her firends here in San Antonio. It turned out very cute and it will be neat to look back on one day.

Grandma and Papa got her a very special jewlery box that she loved!

Jake and I with our beautiful little princess. We love you so much Madison.

Thank you to all who helped make our little girl's day so special. She is such a special little girl and I am so glad she had so many wonderful people to share in this day with us.

MOPS Day At The Pumpkin Patch

We went to another pumpkin patch to today to run around with some friends. Maddie, Jacob, and Caden all had a blast and were worn out after 2 hours of running around in the sun. Here are a few pictures from this afternoon.
