We took Maddie to see Santa this year and she was not a big fan. She was terrified of him and screamed her head off the whole time she was near him. It was quite a bit different than last year when she just slept in his arms.
Maddie has been given a few really nice christmas gifts so far. She has received two beautiful outfits from family. She was given a "bounce and spin zebra" by Grandma and Grandpa Kitson which she loves. She goes crazy on it. She was also given a very cute little rocking horse by our good friends, the Ross'. She loves to push on its ears so it talks to her. We are getting very excited for Christmas, it will be great watching Maddie's reaction to all the chaos.
She is geting so big and she has so much personality. She is starting to talk a lot more saying words like dog, duck, bug, light, bottle, night-night, and her babble that sounds like full sentences in a different language. She is a little sweetheart and we have a blast just watching her play...what an imagination!
We had a pretty good snow storm here on November 29th. We got about 6 inches and it was freezing cold outside. Maddie kept pointing at it saying "ice, ice" so I had to let her play in it. We got her all bundled up and let her experience her first big snow storm. She had a great time!
Jake's parents and brother came to visit us for thanksgiving this year. We had a really nice visit and Maddie loved them being here. We did a lot of fun things outside like Garden of the Gods, and Helen Hunt Falls, but the majority of our time was spent just hanging out. Maddie really enjoyed spending time with her grandma and grandpa and uncle Jamie. It was a wonderful visit and we look forward to their next visit.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and the Ross Family home. It was a whole housefull with lots of babies and great food. DeeDee fixed a feast that was incredible and Jake had a great time hanging out with his good friends Matt and Chris. Maddie got to know their little ones and had a great time playing with them. It was a great holiday with Jake's family in town...they spoiled Maddie rotten and she loved having them around.
We took Maddie out trick or treating on Halloween night. We didn't go for real long, but she got a ton of candy in a very short amount of time. Everyone thought she was so cute that they would give her handfuls instead of one piece. She had a fun time and Daddy and I will enjoy eating all her candy.
Jake's brother Jamie came to visit us for Maddie's birthday. We had a great visit and it was so nice to have some family here for her big day. These are some pics of Madison with Jamie.
We took Maddie to Boo at the Zoo to do a little trick or treating and to see some animals. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo decorates the zoo really well with lots of lights and decorations and had a lot of people dressed up giving out candy to the kids. Maddie was a little black cat and she especially enjoyed the Giraffes. Most of the other animals were sleeping. It was a good time and she loved it of course.
