Jacob Daniel Kitson Is Here

Jacob Daniel was born on August 25, 2007 at 6:33am. He weighed 7lbs8oz and was 20inches long. He is doing great and Maddie is adjusting very well. She didn't spend a lot of time at the hospital with us because she doesn't do well sitting still or being quiet, so we had some of our great friends help us with her for the short time we were there. Jacob came very quickly and very unexpectedly...even though he was a week late. We went to the hospital at 4am, they told us to leave and go walk, we went back at 6am to get checked again, we had him at 6:33am. We barely had time to get admitted and definitely had no time for any drugs...ouch!!! He is very healthy and doing great so far. He are a bunch of pics.

Pump It Up

I took Maddie to Pump It Up the other day with some of her friends. It is a place with lots of different jumpping castles and slides. She had a blast and went crazy the whole time we were there. It was hard to get good pics because it was dark and she was moving so much, but here are a few that turned out ok.

39 Weeks Pregnant

I have had some requests, so here are just a couple pics of me at 39 weeks Pregnant. Maddie likes to snuggle the belly, say hi to Jacob, and she kisses the belly often. She knows there is a baby brother coming, but I don't think she fully understands what that means. She likes to get into his stuff and then is quick to put it back and tell me that it is baby Jacob's. We are getting very anxious to meet our little guy. Hopefully he will be here soon.

Mr. Biggs

I took Maddie to a place called Mr. Biggs the other day. She had a great time in their toddler play area. She climbed on everything she could find and played a lot in the huge indoor sandbox. It was a neat little park and we ended the afternoon with some pizza and pasta...her two favorite foods.

20 Months

Here are some pics from Maddie's 20th month. Time is flying by, but she is really enjoying the summer. She would play outside all day if I let her. We got a used little tikes slide to put in our backyard so that she had something to play on. She was very excited and loves her new toy.

Feeding The Ducks

We took Maddie to feed the ducks and play on a big park after Jake's AGD graduation. She loved that the ducks were everywhere and that she could get so close. For some reason she liked throwing sand in the water at the ducks more than feeding them, but I think she had a great time.

Jake's AGD Graduation

Jake graduated his AGD residency yesterday. It was a really nice ceremony and Jake's speech was very well done. He had the place laughing quite a bit and then ended without a dry eye in the place. He is a special man and Maddie and I are so proud of him. Here are just a few pics of our soldier.

Maddie and Julian

Maddie played with her buddy Julian tonight for a few hours in his backyard. They are both crazy together and have so much fun. They love to go to the park together and chase each other around. She has made so many great friends since we have been in Colorado. He is a month older and is very sweet with her. He is a good playmate for her.

First Big Ouch!

Maddie got her first big bloody nose yesterday. Jake and I are surprised that it took this long being the dare devil that she is. She was playing with her friend Julian at the park and he was chasing her. She was showing off and jumped off a bench only to lose her balance and fall face first into a plastic beam. I thought she had knocked out her teeth, but it seems that her nose took the brunt of the fall. She cried for about 10 senconds and then got very excited by all the blood. She thought she was so cool and was showing it off to Julian...only to freak him out! It was pretty classic and she is doing fine today, just little sore in the area.

19 Months

Here are some 19 month pictures of Madison. The months are flying by and she is really starting to act like a little girl. She has made some good friends out here. In the pictures above she is playing with her buddies Audrey (3yrs) and Sawyer (2yrs).

Trip To Florida

Maddie and mommy took a short trip to Florida the first week of June to see family. We had a great time and Maddie loved the beach. She is a little fish and it is hard to keep her out of the water. She is 19 months and still scared of nothing. We also got to see Maddie's Great Great Grandma which was a real treat. Maddie loved seeing her and playing with her. It was a wonderful trip...we just wish daddy could have been there.

18 Months

First Time Camping

We took Madison camping two weekends in a row at the end of May and the first weekend in June. First we went to a place called Rampart Reservoir and the second weekend we went for three days to Rocky Mountain National Park. We had a great time and Maddie did very well and loved it of course. She loved running around the woods, sitting by the camp fire, catching bugs, and sleeping in the tent. We were so proud of her. She did very good for her first camping experience. She slept better in the tent than both Jake and I did. Here are some pics of our adventures.

First Time Fishing

We have been taking Maddie fishing here, but it is a little different than we are used to. There are a lot of trout here as opposed to bass and brim. They seem a little more picky and difficult to catch. We took her to a small pond here on post last weekend during a storm and caught a small Bluegill before it started pouring rain. She was amazed and sang her Fishy Fishy in a brook song. She was excited and now talks about going fishing a lot. She didn't understand why mommy and daddy wouldn't let her hold and kiss the fishy...nasty!
